Just like candy.
My daughter LOVES the carrots that come out of the garden. She loves watching them grow, picking them (sometime way too early!) and munching on them, even with a little dirt left on. There is something about a sweet, fresh carrot from the garden that makes her (and me) want to park our bottoms next to the garden and eat an entire square foot of carrots! By the way, do you know how many carrots you are supposed to plant in a square foot of dirt? 16, friends. Anyway, back to the yummyness is garden carrots. Bailey isn't a big fan of carrots from the store, or many other veggies for that matter, but when it comes to a fresh garden carrot, she gobbles it down like she is eating a lollipop.
I love our garden and how it helps keep us healthy, helps up cut down on grocery costs, and gives us something to do together as a family.
