A Sneak Peak at Baby Girl Jones's room!

We started our new babe's room a few weeks ago by colleting and shopping... We got a great deal on the crib we registered for, and instead of getting it at Babies R Us, we found it at a baby resale shop for less than half the price! My mom bought us the changing table that matches the crib, and we refinished a shabby dresser and end table to make them look cute and girlie. If you need inspiration, check out "wallies". You can get these wallpaper decals at Fred Meyer, or probably even WalMart, and they are just so much fun! (They are the colorful flowers on the dresser). We also have a twin bed in there for visitors, Jeff's mom, and me, when nursing becomes my full time job. I am amazed at how much we were able to fit into this tiny room, but the project has been a lot of fun.

Week 29 and Happy Easter!

We are almost 75% of the way done with this thing called "pregnancy". While it hasn't always been wonderful emotionally, I do have to say that I have had a pretty comfortable pregnancy, physically. I am very thankful for that. I have about 6 other friends right now that are pregnant, and some of them have had a pretty rough bout with morning sickness for the majority of their pregnancy. I was a little queasy for about one week, and then felt just fine. Now, my motivation for exercise and whole grains is another story, and I have begun to enjoy putting my feet up more often. My catch-all phrase is "I am pregnant...I can do what I want." And people keep telling me that I need to use that phrase as much as I can while pregnant, because Lord knows I won't be able to when there's a little baby to take care of. I don't even know if you can have that excuse when you are pregnant with your second child. There's so much more to do then.

Anyway, here are a few more belly shots. Please forgive me if you aren't into skin...It's the only way my mom can keep up visually with my pregnancy. She's far off in Wisconsin, and likes to be able to see it all "play by play". Note the pink t-shirt..."PREGNANT (not fat)". I love this shirt. It was really nice to wear when you just couldn't quite tell if I was just eating a lot of brownies, or there was a baby inside. Now, I am afraid, it is quite hard to not notice the huge bulge on my front. I hear comments from people, "Wow! You just keep getting bigger every day!" I am not quite sure how to respond to this comment. Does "Thanks" work? Do I say, "Yeah, that pound of red grapes I ate last night really made me puffy!" So I just smile, pat my belly, and say, "Baby Jones is growing, just like she's supposed to."

Good Time with Friends

Friends are so valuable, and we are so thankful for these friends of ours. It's not often that husbands and wives find another married couple that they both get along with...and we have two! Well, we have more than that, but here we are with two of our favorite couples to spend time with. Of course, we all know eachother from working at the Cannon Beach Conference Center. Jeff and Kerry have gone onto other things, and Chuck (aka Rucky) still works there. These pictures were from a dinner together in Astoria at a Chinese Restaurant. We had to listen to a smoke alarm guy tell us about the systems he wanted to put in our homes. Ah yeah, they cost more than I make in two months! At least we got a free dinner and time with our friends out of the deal, right?
