Big Girl Swing

A great blue swing in grandma and grandpa's backyard. Hope you don't get sick watching this video clip.

The REALITY of the girlie photo shoot

okay, here you go. This is the reality. It was quite funny actually. Hope you enjoy, and maybe this will prepare you if you are planning on doing a photo shoot with three babies. Just do it in your backyard, not at the photo studio!

Girlie Photo Shoot

With all three granddaughters together, we decided it would be cute to dress them alike and take a few pictures. Seems, easy enough, right? These pictures make it look like it was quite easy. but the truth is, it was a nightmare. If one kid was smiling, the other two were crying. One was always trying to get down or run away. All 3 girls cried at one point in time. Most of the time, it was Sophie crying when Bailey was sitting next to her. Then Bailey would cry. We also noticed that most of the neighborhood was watching us as we, as parents, jumped and baby talked, hoping to get out kiddos to smile. It was quite amusing to see. Slideshow of the entire photo shoot to come next.

One last project

So, my last two weeks at work are filled with a trip to Wisconsin and a double bathroom remodel. Here's some pictures from yesterday's day of demolition. Today, we will be tearing out the subfloor in the women's restroom and replacing the green rock on the plumbing wall. More pictures to come.

Cute little dress

For some reason, maybe it's the style or something, but I really like putting Bailey in dresses with pants underneath. This little sundress, from Grandma Karen, is a for the summer, but works great with a onesie and some matching pants. This way, she looks so cute, but doesn't get carpet burn on her knees when she crawls everywhere.

A Day at the Beach

Wow! The weather is amazing today! It was at least 65 degrees out and blue blue skies. So we went off to the beach for some sun and fun pictures. This was Bailey's 2nd time exploring the beach, which is pretty pathetic since we live 3 blocks from it. Oh well, life gets busy. Anyway, we thought we would share these pictures with you. There are more in our Picasa Web Album, under Bailey - April 2008 if you want to see the whole collection. Just click on the link to the right. Enjoy!

A Dress and a Smile

If you live in the Northwest, you know how cold the Oregon rain is. That's why I dress Bailey in dresses with jeans instead of tights. It's just so dang cold! I also like to take dresses that are too small and turn them into cute shirts. So, here's a picture of Bailey's most recent dress/jeans outfit. I like it!

And of course, I have to confess...I just love her smile! So I had to post that picture too!

I Love Mangoes!

So, Bailey loves mangoes. Here she is with a mango core, gnawing her way to the big seed inside. It's a bit slippery, but she devours them. The night before, I cut open two mangoes and shared them with her. She was sitting on the floor and got them ALL over her new dress. Good thing it was made out of cotton and I had Oxy Clean to use...we got all the mango stains out. So here's the video, and then a few pictures from the night before.

Our little Mennonite

Okay, she's not a Mennonite, and neither are we, but doesn't she look like one? I couldnt' say "Amish" because she has polka dots on her dress, but I do have a friend, Eileen, who used to be Mennonite, and I think she mentioned that they could have patterns in their dresses as children. So, she looks Mennonite. Anyway, I couldn't resist posting the picure...Very cute. The purple dress is from Grandma Karen (for Easter). See the previous post for more stylin' shots of the dress without the sweater. And the sweater, hat, and boots are from my Aunt Marcia.
