Helpin' with the Laundry

With just two hands to do the laundry and carry Bailey around, the laundry basket comes in quite handy (all you mothers are nodding your head right now, aren't you?). Bailey fits in the basket quite well and she had no complaints, so I just let her play in there while I folded clothes. Bailey is also getting better at holding her bottle. Here's she's playing with a bottle of apple juice. I say "playing" because I think more gets on her bib than down her throat, but at least she's trying. Sippy cup is next...but it's still a bit difficult for her.

new slideshow feature!

this is pretty cool. it's linked to our Picasa Web Album, and i can just take my pictures from there and show them in a slideshow. It's not quite as fancy as the previous slideshows, but it's about the baby, not really the way they doll it up, right? Now, you can see all the pictures, not just the single ones! Happy viewing!

Now it all makes sense!

After a few months of practice, all of the sudden, it all made sense to little Bailey. Now, I can put her in her Johnny Jump Up and she will jump for 45 minutes straight while I cook dinner, eat dinner, AND clean up from dinner! It's amazing!

Is that a dress?

As a matter of fact, yes, the top is a dress. And a very short one at that. After seeing Bailey's bottom stick out from under it, I decided to turn it into a cute shirt. And it matched the brown cords from my friend JuliAnne so well that I had to put them together. I love dressing little girls! It's so fun!

Tribute to Grandma Karen's outfit

Grandma Karen (Jeff's mom) bought this cute outfit for Bailey in October. As you can see, in just a short while, the pants are already getting too short. Bailey has grown 6 inches since she's been born, and you can tell by her pants that she just keeps growing.

Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

In just about 30 minutes, I managed to take about 30 pictures of Bailey. Can you tell I am a first time mom? So, I thought I would share them with you through this slideshow (brought to you via vintage TV set). Pretty cool, eh?

This may sound weird, but I love Bailey's neck. Maybe I love it because I rarely see it. Maybe I love it because of her square jawline. I don't know, but there is one picture in the slideshow where she is on her tummy pushing up with her arms, and you can almost see her neck. And for some reason, I love how she looks with her cute little neck!

Sittin' Tall

Beautiful Sweater

My Aunt Marcia made this beautiful sweater set (including booties and hat) for Bailey. It finally fits her and just in time for the cold winter weather. Bailey looks kind of like a football player in it in this picture, but in person, she looks delicate and cozy. we wear it to church most sundays because it is all dressy. Thanks Aunt Marcia!

Visit with Dr Werner

Yesterday, Bailey had her 6 month check up with Dr Werner. While we were waiting for her checkup, I snapped this cute little picture. Bailey is doing great. She's now 26 inches long (she has grown 6 inches in 6 months! That's enought to make your body hurt!), and is now 17 pounds 2 ounces, which means she has more than doubled her birthweight. Every time Dr Werner sees her, she says in her Brazillian accent, "Oh, she looks just like her Daddy!"
